04/06Demonstration
CLOSER/COcloser.co
You cannot out-pitch someone who sells for a living. Let them run the numbers.
This buyer sells for a living and has already sat through the same pitch from three other firms. So the site does not pitch. It hands them a model of their own sales figures, shows which stage is actually losing the money, and lets them argue with the arithmetic instead of with us.

This is not client work. CLOSER/CO does not exist. We invented the business, wrote everything on it and built the website to show how we would approach this trade. Every price, record and review inside it is made up, nothing you type is sent anywhere, and we are not claiming it won anybody any work.
01The brief
The business we invented, and the person landing on it.
A made-up company is only useful if it is specific enough to argue with. So each one has a real trade, real constraints and a visitor turning up in a particular state of mind.
- AThe business
- A consultancy working with B2B sales teams on pipeline, outbound, training and reporting. Sold as short pieces of work to commercial directors.
- BWho lands on it
- A commercial director under a number, who has been pitched this exact service before and is looking for a reason to believe this one is different.
- CWhat the site has to fix
- Every consultancy in this market claims the same results. The site cannot out-claim them, so it has to out-work them: show the method running on the visitor's own figures and let them reach the conclusion themselves.
02The decisions
Five decisions, and what forced each one.
Every one of these answers something about the business, not a preference of ours. They are also what makes this site different from the other five.
01
Let the buyer drive the model.
A model the buyer operates is a demonstration. A case study is a claim about somebody else.
On the page
A set of funnel figures the visitor edits, with the whole document recalculating around them.
02
Number the sections like a working paper.
This reader works in documents, not landing pages. Numbered sections invite them to quote it, argue with it and forward it to a colleague.
On the page
Sections 00 to 07, alternating dark and light, each one addressable and each carrying its own figures.
03
Lead with the bottleneck, not the service list.
Naming the thing that is actually holding a pipeline back does more selling than a list of services, because it proves the diagnosis before the pitch.
On the page
A section that works out which stage is the bottleneck and what it is costing, drawn rather than described.
04
Say what happens weekly, and where it ends.
The fear with consultants is a slide deck and an invoice. Saying what happens each week, what the client has to do and when the work stops removes it.
On the page
A section on the weekly routine and a section on terms, both written flatly, both specific about what each side has to do.
05
End with a brief they can keep.
A buyer who leaves with something useful comes back. A buyer who leaves with a calendar invite may not turn up.
On the page
The last section turns everything the visitor set into a brief they can read, keep and send on.
03The build
Nothing in it is shared with the other five.
Six sites built out of the same set of parts would prove nothing. This one has its own typefaces, its own layout, its own drawings and its own working parts, made for it alone.
- Typefaces
- Supreme throughout — no separate heading face
- Layout
- Numbered working paper, sections 00 to 07
- What you can do
- Edit the funnel figures and watch the whole page recalculate
- Figures
- Sample numbers, recalculated live, labelled as examples
- Deliberately left out
- Logo walls, named results, testimonial carousels
04The built site
Now use it.
The whole website runs below, inside the frame. Every button, form and slider works, and nothing you type leaves this page.
Starting the CLOSER/CO demonstration
Everything above the frame is us. Everything inside it belongs to the invented business: its own typefaces, its own colours, its own voice. That is deliberate. An agency that puts its own look on every client site is selling you a template.
05What is missing
Everything that happens after somebody presses send.
A demonstration can only show the front of the job. The rest is where the enquiry goes, who picks it up, what it is allowed to see and how you know it worked.
If CLOSER/CO were a real business, the ticket, note or quote a visitor builds here would land somewhere real: an inbox, a customer record, a job in the diary, with a name against it and a date it has to be answered by. The words would come from you, the prices from your own books, and we would agree what counts as working before anything got built. That part is most of the job, and no demonstration can honestly fake it.
